Bedroom Revamp

Hey guys! I hope you are all coping and are well during these tough times. Like many, I have resorted to the lovely world of home interiors to keep me occupied.

As much as I loved my daughters bedroom, we had been finding that there were a few changes that were needed and a few things that could be added. With her pre teen years getting ever so closer, we decided that she needed her own dressing table and space to get ready in the mornings. The bedding also needed updating along with the bedside drawers which we had actually brought with us from our old house.

As I started my hunt, I was drawn straight away to the amazing Catherine Lansfield collection. I purchased the throw and sham pillows from this luxury range which is available at Ideal Textiles (https://www.idealtextiles.co.uk/products/crushed-velvet-luxury-blush-pink-duvet-cover-set?_pos=52&_sid=203712172&_ss=r&variant=31790050181251). I added two pillows from the Michelle Keegan Home range at Very (https://www.very.co.uk/michelle-keegan-home-pink-velvet-cushion/1600306347.prd?Ntt=michelle%20keegan%20home) and finished it off with the most amazing 'Namastay' Cushion which was so kindly gifted to me from Beautify (http://tidd.ly/ffdc36e9).

When searching for a dressing table and beside drawers, I wanted classic and beautiful furniture on a budget. I found matching items from Chiltern Oak Furniture. The dressing table (https://www.chilternoakfurniture.co.uk/banbury-white-painted-dressing-table) came only needing the legs attaching and the bedside drawers (https://www.chilternoakfurniture.co.uk/banbury-white-painted-large-bedside-table) came fully assembled, which is always a plus! I sprayed the handles from both of these items with Bright Copper Spray paint which I purchased at B&Q (https://www.diy.com/departments/rust-oleum-bright-copper-effect-multi-surface-spray-paint-400ml/128258_BQ.prd).

To accompany the new dressing table I wanted a chair that wouldn't stand out too much, so what could be better than a ghost chair? This one cost me just £49.99 from ebay (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CLEAR-GHOST-TRANSPARENT-MODERN-PLASTIC-DINING-CHAIR-VANITY-DRESSING-CHAIR/222585643840?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649) and looks great. I was worried that it may feel cheap but it doesn't feel it and I'm very happy with both the design and quality. We also added the Hollywood style mirror from Beautify (http://tidd.ly/cffeeec4) and two rose gold containers for hair bobbles etc from Amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bathroom-Organizer-Canister-Apothecary-Blenders/dp/B07CS7T5VB/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=rose+gold+container+bathroom&qid=1588188811&sr=8-7).

Other accessories added were the decorative swan (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Small-Furry-Swan-Decoration/143467782166?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649) and wire words saying 'sweet dreams' above the bed which were gifted from HomeByHarri (https://www.instagram.com/homebyharri/) .

I definitely feel that the room has more of a glam feel to it now and I'm extremely happy with the final design, I hope you like it too!

Stay Safe everyone,

Gem xx
